In order to realise the green economy, VET systems are expected to develop a workforce that has the ability and skills needed to support the running of this economic system. The general objective of the ENTIRE project (Greening VET curricula for electricians) is to support VET providers in their role of adapting their training to changing green skills needs and thus contribute to the goals of the European Green Deal. 

Considering energy efficiency is one of the key principles of the Clean Energy policy area of the bespoke policy initiative of the European Commission, we have identified the Electrician occupation as our pilot vocation. Simply put, electricians are the ones who could propose and introduce more efficient electricity installations, how building and industries are run. They offer simple, yet important, changes to reduce our carbon footprint. 

Electrician VET learners who are trained with the right green skills, both horizontal as well as occupation specific, will become true agents of energy efficiency.
